Although children usually support organ donation when the facts are explained to them, the sad fact is that children who need transplants are much less likely to get them than adults. Organs from adults are rarely suitable and parents are often reluctant to consider donating their child’s organs after a tragedy. Our new 'Little Lifesavers' campaign aims to provoke a conversation about this. Because we believe that the more adults teach and talk to children about donation, the sooner this situation will change. More children will have their lives saved or transformed by transplants. And more grieving parents might one day take some comfort from knowing that their child's legacy is saving others. The striking images are by award-winning documentary photographer Jim Fenwick.
