James Lewis (pictured, aged 4, in 2014) was one of many British children awaiting a heart transplant. He was fortunate to receive his gift of life - just in time - and is regaining strength. However, he is now awaiting a kidney transplant. Unfortunately there is a chronic shortage of child donors as most parents are reluctant to sign up their children to the organ donor register.
